Race Update-Road Atlanta
Kawasaki Road Race Qualifying Update: Road Atlanta Attack Kawasaki's Steve Rapp and Chaz Davies captured front-row starting positions for the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. As the temperatures in Georgia got hotter as the day progressed, Rapp and Davies went out for qualifying. Rapp turned out a 1:27.740 for third and teammate Davies followed close in fourth with a 1:27.846. In the first AMA Superbike qualifying session, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Roger Hayden and Jamie Hacking earned a provisional second-row start for the doubleheader this weekend. Hayden put in a 1:25.392 to earn a seventh in qualifying, while teammate Hacking was just behind him in eighth with a 1:25.458. The second and final qualifying session for the AMA Superbike class will be Saturday morning, while the AMA Formula Xtreme race will take place in the afternoon. AUGUST 18, 2008

Monster Energy Kawasaki's Hacking Comes Back for Seventh at VIR Alton, Va. - Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jamie Hacking fought his way through the pack to finish with his best result of the weekend in sixth during the AMA Superbike race at Virginia International Raceway. Teammate Roger Hayden sat out of the Superbike race with a stomach flu, competing in the AMA Supersport class where he finished 14th. Attack Kawasaki's Chaz Davies finished 11th, while teammate Steve Rapp finished 13th. AUGUST 17, 2008

Attack Kawasaki's Rapp Holds On For Top-Five Finish Alton, Va. - Attack Kawasaki's Steve Rapp battled for a top-five finish in the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Virginia International Raceway. Teammate Chaz Davies was close behind him in sixth. Monster Energy Kawasaki's Hacking Repeats Podium Finish in Ohio Lexington, Ohio. - Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jamie Hacking returned to the top three after putting in a great ride, earning his eighth season-podium in the AMA Superbike race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. After a holeshot start, Hacking settled comfortably into third and came across the finish line seven seconds in front of fourth. In the AMA Supersport race, Attack Kawasaki's Steve Rapp raced for sixth, while teammate Chaz Davies kept it in the top-ten in ninth. Hacking's teammate Hayden was taken out during the Supersport race and had an issue during the Superbike race. |
