Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki Qualifying UpdateApril 3, Road Atlanta

Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki’s Jamie Hacking continued his Superpole success at Road Atlanta, improving his qualifying position from a fourth-place start to third for the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike doubleheader this weekend.

For the third-straight race, Hacking has improved his qualifying position during the unique Superpole qualifying. He ran a 1:30.878 during a windy session on the 12-turn track. Teammate Roger Hayden, who is appearing in his first race this season, ran Superpole for the first time and finished sixth with a 1:31.466.

Leandro Mercado wasn’t far from Superpole and secured his qualifying spot earlier today in 15th with a 1:31.679. Mercado is also making his debut in the AMA Pro SuperSport class, finishing first in the second practice session Friday afternoon. Qualifying for the AMA Pro SuperSport class is on Saturday.
