The 26-  year-old from Owensboro, Kentucky, USA has spent much of his career on  Kawasaki  machinery and in the 2009 he participated to the Daytona Sportbike 600cc. in Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki team.  Hayden career  began in 2004 in AMA Supersport championship and the year after he was named AMA Superbike Rookie of the Year. Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki’s riders ended the season in high spirits with two out of three riders finishing inside the top-10 in the final AMA Daytona SportBike race of the season at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Jamie Hacking challenged the front pack before settling for a top-five finish, a big improvement from Saturday’s race. Roger Hayden had a good jump at the start, but ran off in turn one. He put on an impressive charge to finish behind his teammate in sixth. Strong qualifying performance from Monster Energy Attack KawasakiJuly 18, Mid Ohio

After Friday's basic qualifying and SuperPole were rained out, Hacking and Hayden had a single 30-minute session to put in their best times for the doubleheader. Hacking put in his fast lap of 1:28.647 after seven solid laps to qualifying second. Teammate Hayden also put in a good effort and post a quick time of 1:28.770 to qualify sixth.
